Real S&P 500 Total Return Price - Monthly

Chart Description

This chart takes Real S&P 500 - Monthly and each month adjusts the index value upward to what it would have been if the value paid out in dividends (S&P 500 Dividend Yield - Monthly) had instead been a stock price increase. The actual total return price values depend on the starting point of the chart and are not important. It is the relative change in these values that is important because it represents the total return on an investment from one point in time to another.
