Chart Description

The NASDAQ Composite, often just referred to as the NASDAQ, is a widely followed U.S. stock market index. It is known for being heavily weighted with technology companies. It is not as broad of an index as the S&P 500 Index, and it is not quite as well known or widely followed as the Dow Jones Industrial Average. This chart shows the monthly index value (aka price) on a log scale to better illustrate the relative size of price changes.
